DeLoy Hale, 84, of Elgin passed away Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at his home. His funeral service will be held on Monday, October 22, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Elgin LDS Church. Dedication of the grave will follow at Elgin Cemetery. Loveland Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.

DeLoy was born on September 17, 1928 in Pocatello, Idaho to Clayton and Clara (Quinn) Hale. He grew up in Pocatello and graduated from Pocatello High School. Later he moved to Lake Oswego and Oregon City, Oregon where he spent 20 years as owner and CEO of Industrial Electric Supply in Portland, Oregon. He spent his last 6 years in Elgin.

DeLoy was married to Romona Anderson and then to Celeste Winkelman. He and Celeste were married for 44 years. DeLoy enjoyed reading, gardening and building. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints – Elgin Ward for the past 5 years. He was a scout leader, Gospel Doctrine teacher, High Councilman, Counselor to 2 Bishops. He also completed a 2 year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints and an 18 month Oklahoma Tulsa Mission with his wife Celeste. He was enlisted in the Army and was part of the occupation of Japan during World War II .

Deloy is survived by his wife Celeste of Elgin; his son Tim Hale and wife Penny of Great Falls, Montana; daughter Christine and her husband Kevin of Winthrop, Washington; son Loren and his wife Janette of Gladstone, Oregon; son Terry and his wife Stephanie of Elgin; sisters Joann and Dallas of Grace, Idaho; Linda and Willis of Cubbic, Idaho; brother-in-law Gary Mattson of Pocatello, Idaho; 25 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Deloy was preceded in death by his parents Clayton and Clara Hale, a son Dan Hale, a brother Evan Hale, a sister Glenis Masttson and his first wife Romona Anderson.
