Employed by St. Joseph Lead Compnay until induction to U.S. Army Dec. 14, 1942, with medical discharge Dec. 31, 1943 (nine months were spent in hospitals at Camp Maxey & McKinney General Hospital in Texas)

Survived by; his parents, O. C. & Carrie Hopkins; three brothers, Clyde, Cruise, and Morris Hopkins; three sisters, Mrs. J. H. Mund, Mrs. O. H. Wells & Mrs. J. H. Hibbits.

Preceded in death by two infant sisters.
