Prominent Soviet sculptor and muralist. People's Artist of the USSR (1959). Full Member (1953) and Vice-President (1970) of the USSR Academy of Arts. Hero of Socialist Labor (1967). Winner of five of Stalin (i946, 1947, 1948, 194 , 1950) and the Lenin Prize (1970). Member of the Great Patriotic War, he retired with the rank of lieutenant colonel. Member of the CPSU from 1943. From early childhood Vucetic clearly demonstrated artistic talent, and in 1926 he entered the Rostov art school, where he studied until 1930. In one thousand nine hundred thirty-one - 1933's he studied at the Leningrad Institute of Proletarian Fine Arts (1932 - LIZHSA Repin, and later - in the Russian Academy of Arts in Leningrad). Held training sculptors under B. Yakovleva. Since 1937 he has participated in exhibitions, has received the Gold Medal of the World of Art and Design Fair in Paris for the sculptural group "Kliment Voroshilov top" (1936). Since 1943 was a war artist Moscow TSW Grekov (before 1960 ). Within the walls of the studio Vucetich finally formed as a sculptor. In his work, Evgeny with great force recreates realistic generalizations important events in the history of the state. He created images often take on the significance of the heroic character.
