Co. C 5th Reg't New Hampshire Vol. Inf. - Civil War.
Charles died of disease during the war.
He is buried in Lebanon.
Son of Elisha P. & Ethalinda Liscomb.
From Jesse E. Dewey's Honor Roll book: GAR Post #13: *Lieut. Charles F. Liscomb: He was the first to enlist in co. C 5th Reg't NH Vols. Slightly wounded at Antietam; he was promoted for good conduct to be Sgt. Major 9.10.1862; 2nd Lieut. 10.1.1862 for bravery at Fredericksburg; promoted to be 1st Lieut. Co. D. He was in all the battles in which the famous 5th participated excepting that of Chancellorsville. He never shrank from any duty, however arduous, always brave, and encouraging others by his coolness. To him belongs the credit of first discovering the retreat of the rebels after the battle of Gettysburg. He died at Point Lookout, MD 1.6.1864.
