Private First Class, U.S. Army

On 24 December 1966, Private First Class Alberto I. Jara-Verano was serving with A Company, 1st Battalion, 22nd Infantry, 4th Infantry Division, in Kontum Province, South Vietnam.

On that day, PFC Jara-Verano was killed in action when he sustained wounds from small arms fire. His body was recovered.
