A lifetime resident of Oglethorpe County, Mrs. McCannon was a daughter of the late Jim and Ella Lavonia Bridges Eberhardt and was the widow of Richard Augustus McCannon. She was a homemaker and was a member of Glade Baptist Church.
Services will be at 4 p.m. Friday at Lord & Stephens Funeral Home, East, with the Rev. Dannie Reed officiating. Burial will be in Athens Memory Gardens.
Survivors include a daughter, R. Katherine McCannon Thurmond, Houston; a son, Grady E. McCannon, Lawrenceville; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Masonic Children's Home, Macon, Ga., the Baptist Children's Home, or to a charity of the donor's choice.
The family will receive friends from 6-8:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
