~Sadie A. Huffman, 79, of Cape Girardeau, died Thursday, June 29, 1995, at Cape Girardeau Nursing Center.
She was born March 20. 1916. at Oran. daughter of Henry and Minnie Beklund Thomas. She and Vester Noah "Bud" Huffman were married Nov. 7, 1932, at Benton. He died May 21, 1958.
Huffman was a restaurant cook for 40 years and had worked at Wimpy's in Cape Girardeau and Round House Cafe in Scott City.
Survivors include two sons, Charles Huffman of Bradley, Ill., Larry Huffman of Murphysboro, Ill.; two daughters, Carolyn Schott of Bloomsdale, Marilyn Obermann of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Everett Thomas of Jerseyville, Ill.; a sister, Dorothy Sumner of Hartford, Ill.; 19 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, four brothers, and four sisters.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-9 p.m. today. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Fred Poston officiating. Burial will follow at Williams Cemetery in Perkins, MO.
