Ingram - Joe Robert Lane at the age of 80 went to be with his Lord abd Saviour on Wednesday, Oct. 31,2012, in Ingram Texas.
He was born on Sept. 19,1932,in Paris, Texas, to Willie Lane and Lila (Wright) Lane. Joe served in the U.S. Navy from 1951 until 1955. He married June Stone and she passed away in 2010.
Joe owned Joe Lane Pest Control in Kerrville for a life time. He was a member of the Living Tree Church, VFW and the American Legion. Joe was a pro golfer and he enjoyed fishing and his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents;wife,June Lane;siblings, Viola Garchie and Galen Lane.
Joe is survived by his three loving daughters, Karen Lewis of Ingram, Debra Sisley and husband, Mark of Ingram and Starla Garcia and husband Raymond of Kerrville; two sons, Terry Wood and wife, Cindy and Perry Lee Wood and wife, Susie; brother, Willie P. Lane Jr.; sister, Sharon Hackney and husband, Hugh; 12 grandchildren; 13 great- grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many other family members who love him and will miss him.
Memorial services will be at 1 p.m.Saturday, Nov. 3, at the Living Tree Church in Ingram with the Rev. Jeffers officiating the services. Burial will be at a later date at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio.
