Geraldine Helen "Geri" Rigby, 81, of Meridian, Idaho, returned home to her Heavenly Father on Monday, July 23, 2012.

Geri was born on May 21, 1931 in Boise, Idaho, to Lois McDowell. Geri was later adopted by her Aunt and Uncle Doris and Frank Serean. Geri attended most of her school years in Pocatello, Idaho, graduating from Pocatello High School in 1950, and was voted best shape.

Geri married the love of her life and soul mate Rex D. Rigby on November 20, 1953; they were married for 30 years. They began their family in Pocatello, where their son, Rod was born in May of 1955, and a daughter Sheila followed in January of 1957.

Geri was a true Lady; she was beautiful from the inside out. She was always so gracious with a smile in heart, but beware if "Mother Bear" came out.

Geri and Rex shared lots of fun times with family and friends whether it was going to their cabin in Island Park, Idaho, or their condo in Lake Havasu, Arizona. There wasn't anything Geri wouldn't try whether it was boating and slalom skiing at American Falls Reservoir, snow skiing at Pebble, or snow machining and motorcycling in Island Park.

Geri's friends were a very special part of her life; all close friends were indeed sisters. Geri always loved dogs, and had too many to name. Geri and Rex moved to Meridian, Idaho in 1993 where Geri was able to reconnect with her beloved sisters, Peggy Black, Babe Fain, Pat Byron and their families.

Geri looked forward every year to the Rigby liar's convention (reunion) with the Rigby and Gilbert families, where she held her own with the best of them.

Geri was preceded in death by her husband, Rex; biological mother, Lois Pickler; parents, Doris and Frank Serean; half-brother, Richard Pickler; stepbrothers, Bud and Guy Serean; stepsister, Margarie March; and daughter-in-law Kathy Rigby.

She is survived by her son, Rodney Rigby, of Tucson, AZ; her daughter, Sheila (Carl) Thompson, of Meridian, ID; grandchildren, Tracy Moreno, Dan (Jeniffer) Rigby, of Tucson, AZ, Zach Thompson, of Boise, Molly Rigby, of Boise; and seven great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, August 2, 2012 at Cloverdale Funeral Home, 1200 N. Cloverdale Road in Boise. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, August 3, 2012 also at Cloverdale Funeral Home. Interment will follow the service at the Meridian Cemetery, 895 E. Franklin Road in Meridian. A Reception celebrating Geri's life will follow the graveside service.
