Jack Lee Crawford, 66, of Harrisonburg, died Saturday, Sept. 27, 2008, at Rockingham Memorial Hospital in Harrisonburg.

Mr. Crawford was born April 7, 1942, in Harrisonburg, and was a son of the late George A. and Reba V. Payne Crawford.

He was a truck driver at Harrisonburg Motor Express in Harrisonburg for 20 years and later worked at Morningstar Foods before retiring. He served in the U.S. Army for three years.

On Aug. 26, 1993, he married Jacqulyn S. Kohne, who survives.

He is also survived by a stepson, Richard Allen Eaton of Harrisonburg; a sister, Charlotte F. Hill of Harrisonburg; and a brother, Larry A. Crawford of Harrisonburg.

The Rev. W.L. "Sonny" Henkel will conduct a memorial service 11 a.m. Tuesday at Johnson Funeral Service in Bridgewater. The family will receive friends following the service. Burial will be private.

At Mr. Crawford's request, his body has been cremated.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1920-H Medical Ave., Harrisonburg, VA.
