CHILD VICTIM OF AUTO MISHAP DIES AT CITY HOSPITAL

Harold Day, the six year old son of Mr. & Mrs. George U Day, 307 N. Fourth St., died at the City Hospital Sunday morning at 1:35 o'clock from a fractured skull he received in an accident Saturday evening on Fourth St. at the library when he was struck by a Ford automobile driven by Glen Geese of West Lafayette.
Following the accident, the child was rushed to city hospital in an unconscious condition. Efforts to save the child's life proved futile.
Harold Day was born in Coshocton June 8, 1914 and attended second grade at the Sycamore School.
The news of the accident and of the child's death was a severe shock to his many friends and playmates. He was bright and gentle and by his kind and gentle disposition had won a host of friends.
Besides the parents, the boy is survived by two step sisters, Grace and Helen Day of the late home, and one step brother, Ernest Day, who resides in Canton. The grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Daniel Wade of Bergholz, O., also survive.
Short funeral services will be conducted at the home at 2 o'clock. The regular service will be held at Franklin Methodist Church with Rev. I.M. McVey officiating. Burial will be in Franklin Cemetery.
