Michael was a native Houstonian, a graduate of Milby High School and the founder of Texas Events, Inc. Michael is survived by his wife Barbara and daughters Megan and Katie McLendon, parents, Beverly and Raymond McLendon, parents-in-law, Jack and Joan Moore, brother Patrick McLendon and wife, Dawn, brothers-in-law, Scott Moore and Marvin Wallace and wife, Debbie. Uncle Mike and all his toys - fishing poles, remote controlled cars, and electronic gadgets of every description will be most missed by his nephews and niece, Cole Moore, Brady Wallace, Matthew and Sean McLendon and Meredith Wallace. A large extended family, his crew at Texas Events and a circle of great friends also survive him. A memorial service honoring Michael's life will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2008 at 10:00 am at the Fairmont Funeral Home, 6777 Fairmont Parkway, Pasadena, Texas, with Reverend Danwood Galloway officiating. Barbara and the girls would like to express their sincere gratitude to the dedicated doctors, nurses and staff of MD Anderson Melanoma Department for their devotion to the care of cancer patients. Their journey was eased by the compassionate care of Odyssey Healthcare to whom they are so greatful. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to MD Anderson Cancer Center, PO Box 4486 Houston, Texas 77210-4486.
