CHAFFEE — Joe W. Farris, 77 years old, of Chaffee, died at his home Friday, March 23, 1984.
He was born in Alabama Feb 8, 1907, son of Mary Emmaline Floyd and John Green Farris.
On Nov. 1, 1931, he married the former Buna Daisy Boley at Piney, Ark.
She survives, along with sons, Bill Farris, Chaffee, and Don Ferns, Cape Girardeau; daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Dever, Tamaroa, Ill., and Mrs. Sandra Farrow, Chaffee; brother, Albert Farris, Tishomingo, Miss.; 14 grand-children and nine great-grandchildren.
A sister and seven brothers preceded him in death. The body is at Ford and Sons Funeral Home in Delta, where service will be held at 2 30 this afternoon. The Rev. Farris Nabors will officiate, and burial will be in Perkins Cemetery.
