SERVICES ARE HELD FOR KENNETH BELL
Funeral services for Kenneth Franklin "Red" Bell, 46, were held this morning at the Sellergren Funeral Home. He died Thursday, July 7, at Veterans Hospital in Omaha after a year's illness.
The Rev. Scott Libbey officiating and burial was in Evergreen Cemetery.Floral committee members were Mrs. Marion Bailey, Mrs. Vern Ewing, and Miss Gladys Ogden. Bearers were John William, Marvin Johnson, Hugh Milledge, James Bachand, Chris Nielsen, and Cliff Bruce. Military services at the graveside by the Lorraine Post of the American Legion with Miss Sharon Sederburg playing taps.
The son of Anderson and Sue Swartz Bell, he was born December 2, 1908 at Anita. A baker and plumber, he was a World War 2 Veteran and a member of the VFW. He was married in 1946 at Troy, Kansas to Opal Ritenour, who survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Miss Suzanne Bell of Red Oak, Mrs. Fred Carlson of Red Oak; two sons, Louis Gene Wilson of Red Oak and Richard Wilson of Omaha; two granddaughters, two sisters, Mrs. Ray Madsen of Atlantic, and Mrs. Donald Chadwick of Anita; two brothers, Thomas Bell of Seattle, Washington and Gerald Bell of Houston, Texas. his mother, Anita.
