Gene Hardin DeBerry was born March 28, 1922 and passed away November 2, 2012. Gene was raised in Savannah, Tennessee. He served as 1st Lieutenant in the Army Air Corp during WW II. He was with the American General Life Insurance Company for several years and an assistant golf pro in Tyler, Texas. He received the Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior at the age of 43 ad spent the remaining years of his life studying, preach, writing and living the Word of God. Hundreds were touched by his life and he will be greatly missed.

Gene is survived by his wife of 68 years, Jeanne DeBerry; daughter, Judy Miller of Norman; sister, Mary Beth Morton of Temecula, California; Grandchildren, Brad Miller and wife Kim of Norman, Hunter Miller and wife Kathy of Norman; Great Grandchildren, Cody Miller, Logan Miller, Skyler Miller, Macey Miller, Laynee Miller, Slater Miller. He is preceded in death by his parents, Reece and Gladys DeBerry; brother Reece Bennett DeBerry


Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 5, 2012 at Norman I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
