The parents of Levi Jones(1787-1844) are yet unproven. It is thought to be Nathan/Nathaniel Jones (RWS) and his first wife based on 3 deeds found in Bladen Co., NC Court Records: Book 12 pg.120;Book 29 pgs.119 & 282. The land of Nathan and Levi Jones was the same. This Nathan Jones served in the American Revolution died c. 1829 Bladen Co. His second wife, Jane [nee:Weathersby]filed for pension - R 5707. Her FAG#104075796. Pension states that Nathan had been married before he married Jane and had children by his first wife, and they inherited his property equally.
DNA for male lineal descendants of Levi Jones matches that of Jonathan Jones a proven/known son of Nathan Jones(RWS).
