Rev. George Winand, York Springs, died at his home Wednesday afternoon about 3 o'clock, after an illness from gastritis.

The deceased was born at York Springs eighty-two years ago. As a youth he assisted on the farm and later he learned the trade of carpenter which he followed for some time.

He was a minister in the Church of the Brethern and was a man well-known throughout Adams county.

He followed the occupation of farming in his later years and retired not long ago.

He is survived by his widow and four children as follows: Alice and Cletus, at home; Mrs. H.J. March, New Chester; and Mrs. W.A. Shetron, Waynesboro.

These brothers and sisters also survive: John, York; Ephraim and Frederick and Miss Lavina, all of York Springs; and Mrs. C.E. Livesberger, New Chester.

Funeral Saturday at 9 a.m., in the Latimore Church of the Brethern. Interment in the church yard adjoining.
