Joseph, son of Fabien & Emelia (Wagner) Broullire, married Victoria, daughter of Joseph & Madaline (George) Beauchamp, on November 21, 1881 in Norway, Dickinson, Michigan. They were both from Joliette, Quebec, Canada. They lived in Norway until moving to the Keel Ridge area in Iron Mountain (Hughitt Street). Joseph worked at the Keel Ridge Iron Ore Mine at the time of the 1883 cave-in helping with the rescue operations. He was the 1st man to haul a drilling machine to this city, which was used to prospecting for iron ore. In 1903 they bought a farm in Aurora, Wisconsin & lived in a 1-room log cabin until they built their larger home, which was later lived in by their grandson, William Broullire Jr.
