MRS. DEAN LESLIE

On Monday afternoon, private funeral services were held for Hazel Elizabeth Stewart, beloved wife of Dean Leslie, who died at her home , R. R. No. 5, Milton on Friday July 18th. Rev. Charles Cochrane was in charge of the services. Interment was in Greenwood Cemetery, Georgetown.
The pall-bearers were: Messrs. Frank McEachern, Walter Lawson, Win Bowman, Hazen Graham, and Goldie Gillies. Nieces and nephews who acted as flower-bearers were: Dorothy Hare, Mary Lindsay, Joan Cunningham, Doreen Steele, June Watkins, Jacqueline Watkins, Ted Leslie and Gordon Cunningham.
Hazel Elizabeth Stewart was born on Lot 21 on the Second Line, the daughter of the late James Stewart and the late Annie MacLean. She attended Dublin School and on April 30th, 1919, she married Dean Leslie. She was a member of Knox Presbyterian Church, Georgetown, and of the Scotch Block Circle Knox Home Helpers. Her thoughts were always of what she could do for others and her cheery smile and kind deeds will be missed by many.
Besides her husband, she leave to mourn her passing, one brother, Alex. and five sisters, Mrs. Murwood Steele (Jean), Mrs. R. Cunningham (Bertha), Mrs. John Watkins (Eleanor), Mrs. Harold Dolson (Clarice), Mrs. Annie Williamson.
Many lovely wreaths showed the esteem in which Mrs. Leslie was held. They were sent by the following:
