Note: this memorial updated July 10, 2015.

Although the obituary for Robert's wife Valeira stated that she married "Robert N. Lyon" on June 22, 1916, that obituary mention appears to be the only source for the middle initial "N". Pending further clarification, the middle initial "N" is being removed from this memorial as part of this memorial update.

Robert was originally buried at Green Mound cemetery in Henry county, Iowa. He was brought to Fairfield and reburied into Evergreen cemetery on September 4, 1974.
