Sawyer, May 22 – Mrs. Minnie Krieger Schoitz, 83, died today at 6 a.m. in her home after an illness of four weeks.

Mrs. Schoitz was born in Russia, Dec. 6, 1870. She married Christopher Krieger in Russia, in 1892, and the couple moved to Benton Harbor in 1894 and then to Sawyer in 1899. Mr. Krieger died April 16, 1929.

Her marriage to Adolph Schoitz took place in January, 1930. Mr. Schoitz also preceded her in death May 12, 1946.

She is survived by two sons, Emil Krieger , of St. Joseph, and Conrad Krieger of Sawyer; three daughters, Mrs. Henry Schmidt, of Three Oaks; Mrs. Emil Hasse, of Baroda, and Mrs. Felix Hack of Sawyer. There are also 30 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.

Mrs. Schoitz was the last member of a family of five children.

NOTE: The correct spelling of her last name was Choitz.
