Pearl M. "Peggy" Ditchburn, of Gettysburg, entered into eternal rest November 1, 2012.

She was born Thursday, March 30, 1922 in Hunterstown, the daughter of the late Delbert and Irene M. (Flemming) Brown.

Pearl graduated from Gettysburg High School in 1941.

She was employed as a bookkeeper for many years. She was a member of the Gettysburg Presbyterian Church, Conewago Chapter #532 Order of the Eastern Star, Order of Amaranth Hanover Chapter, Daughters of American Colonists and Daughters of the American Revolution, and was formerly a Girl Scout Leader.

Pearl's interests included fishing, archery, hunting, metal detecting, sewing and knitting.

She is survived by two daughters: Margaret E. (Laney) Shaffer of Loveland, CO, and Barbara L. Senier of York Springs; five grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Ditchburn, on June 30, 2011; her sister, Violet Gale; her brother, Arthur Brown; and a great-grandson, Josh Harman.

Graveside services will be held at Evergreen Cemetery, Gettysburg, at 2 p.m., November 5, with Rev. Lou Nyiri officiating.
