Mrs. Click was born in an oil field camp between Shamrock and Drumright. She attended a one room school house until the 3rd grade. She went to many different schools because of her father's employment in the oil fields.
Mrs. Click graduated from Ada High School and began college at East Central College in Ada and finished her second year while her husband served in the Navy during World War II. She was a full time mother with two children when they moved to Duncan in 1953. She was a swimming instructor for the Red Cross, was a Girl Scout leader, and taught Sunday School.
She returned to college at Oklahoma College For Women in Chickasha and was certified to teach kindergarten through 8th grades. Mrs. Click returned to college to earn her Master's Degree from East Central State College. She taught 5th and 6th grades at Woodrow Wilson Elementary and later moved to Duncan Junior High, where she taught 7th grade science until her retirement.
She was married to Claude Click on July 16, 1941, in Taos, New Mexico.
She and Claude were both long time members of the First Baptist Church.
