JOHN B. FRYBERGER DEAD
John Bonewitz Fryberger, a retired farmer, who lived on Route 1, died this morning at 6:24 o’clock at his home. He had been sick about three weeks.
Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock at the Sutton Funeral Home. Rev. J. C. Brogan, pastor of the Grace Methodist Church, will conduct the services. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery.
Mr. Fryberger was born April 26, 1849, in Huntington county, Indiana. He was the son of the late John and Margaret Fryberger. He moved to Doniphan county in 1877 and came to Emporia in 1881. Mr. Fryberger married Laura A. Miller on August 9, 1874, in North Manchester, Ind. Mrs. Fryberger died April 10, 1936, at the home on Route 1. Mr. Fryberger was a member of the First Methodist Church in Emporia.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Charles B. Hallock, of Emporia; Mrs. George W. Rowley, Lamar, Colo., and Mrs. Dale W. Shamp, of Somesbar, Calif.; two sons, Roy Fryberger and Thomas Fryberger, both who live in Oregon; two sisters, Mrs. Edna Edwards, of Denver, Colo., and Mrs. Jessie Thompson, who live in California, and four brothers, George Fryberger, of Peshastin, Wash.; W. E. Fryberger, of El Reno, Okla., A. L. Fryberger, of Elorlo, Mont., and O. E. Fryberger, of Soldier.

Funeral services for John B. Fryberger, a retired farmer who lived on Route 1 and who died Wednesday, were held Friday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock at the Sutton Funeral Home. Rev. J. C. Brogan, pastor of the Grace Methodist Church, conducted the services. Mrs. Page Nicklin and Albert Brown sang, accompanied by Miss Esther Rice. Pallbearer were Page Nicklin Frank Kurzon, Charles Ogle, Chester Bishop, Kenneth Whicker and George Buffon. Burial was in Maplewood Cemetery.
Out of town relatives who attended the funeral were Mrs. Mary C. Hetherington, of Kansas City, and Mrs. H. A. Monical, of Arkansas City.
