Ernest Dwain Norman (Blue), 61, of Georgia, died July 28, 2008, at Cordele Health and Rehabilitation Center in Georgia after losing a two-year battle with cancer.

Ernie was born Aug. 26, 1946, in Parkersburg, a son of the late William H. and Betty L. Norman. He served in the United States Army in Vietnam after graduating from Parkersburg High School in 1967. He later moved to Georgia to work in his father's water well drilling company. He also worked in the highway construction industry. His most recent job was building large commercial buildings. He was an avid golfer.

He is survived by two brothers, William H. Norman Jr. of Warwick, Ga., and Michael M. Norman of Noblesville, Ind.; one sister, Martha Holloway of Oregon; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his oldest brother, Gary K. Norman.

A graveside memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Sunset Memory Gardens with military rites provided by the American Legion Post 15.
