Harold R. Board, 66, of Parkersburg, died February 19, 2001, at Camden Clark Hospital.

He was born in Palestine on June 9, 1934, a son of the late Rev. Kelsie and Wanda Peck Board. He was an active member of Calvary Memorial Church. He was known for his love of gospel music. He founded the Gospel Aires Quartet and later sang with the Proclaimers. He was retired from E.I. Dupont after 37 years of service.

Survivors include his wife Vonda Bumgarner Board; one son and daughter-in-law, Ken and Sue Board; one daughter and son-in-law, Carol and Larry George; five grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and many wonderful friends.

Services were held Thursday, February 22, at 11 a.m. at the Calvary Memorial Church, with the Pastor Lee Hammond officiating. Burial is in Sunset Memory Gardens.
