E. Mae Lewis Hovis ELIZABETHTOWN E. Mae Lewis Hovis, 91, formerly of Lancaster, died Friday, July 16, 2004 at Manor Care, Elizabethtown.

She was the wife of the late Harry L. Hovis, who died in July of 1980. Born in Holston, Va., daughter of the late James H. and Alice Stoval Lewis, she was a homemaker, and a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the Sunday School and a Nursery Attendant and a teacher in the Children's Department.

She enjoyed flower gardening and cooking.

She is survived by one son, Ronald P. married to Carole Barton Hovis of Douglassville, Pa.; two daughters, Doris J. married to H. Rohrer 'Ted' Shenk of Mt. Joy and Linda J. married to Dale L. Gehr of Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif.; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Donald E. married to Lola Lewis of York.

She was preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 100 W. Main St., Mountville on Wednesday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. John W. Cordes officiating. Interment in Manchester Union Cemetery.

Friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 1 to 2 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to her church. Arrangements by the John E. Kraft Funeral Homes, Inc., Mountville/Columbia
