Dayton, Aug. 14 — Miss Vada Glick, student of the Harrisonburg State Teachers College, received a telegram today from her home in Manchester, Pa., stating that her father, A. G. Glick, had been killed.
The tragedy resulted late this afternoon when a car, drifting down a grade, crushed Mr. Glick against a stone wall. He was about 77 years of age. Miss Glick left immediately for her home.
Mr. Glick was born near Montezuma, the son of the late Joseph and Elizabeth Glick. For many years he resided in Dayton. By profession, Mr. Glick was a surveyor, and before his removal to Pennsylvania about 12 years ago, was professionally engaged in Rockingham County.
In Pennsylvania Mr. Glick first resided In Palmyra, and later in Manchester, his present home.
Surviving are his widow, who before marriage was Minnie Snell, of Rockingham County, and six children – Lucius, Winfield, Grover, Joseph and Misses Vada and Vernie Glick. He also leaves two brothers, Jacob Glick; of Dayton, and Joe Glick; of: Augusta County; and one sister, Catherine S. Miller, of Vienna, Fairfax county.
Funeral services will be held either Sunday or Monday in Manchester.
