Leonard Milton Patton - Pueblo Chieftain - August 15, 2002 - Leonard Milton Patton, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away Aug. 12, 2002, in Colorado Springs. He was born Aug. 9, 1916, in Harrison, Arkansas, the son of James and Ruby Patton. A graduate of Bergman High School, Bergman, Arkansas, Mr. Patton was employed by the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Soil Conservation Service for 32 years before retiring and moving to Pueblo. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army's Corps of Engineers. He was a 32nd degree Mason of the Scottish Rite Bodies of Arkansas. He was a perpetual member of Washington Lodge No. 1 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Mr. Patton was also a member of Vineland United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Beth Decker Patton; and a son, Chief Petty Officer Kaye E. Patton. Survivors include his son, Dr. D. Keith Patton (Mary); daughter, Dr. Anita P. Manning (Robert); daughter-in-law, Karen Patton; granddaughter, Erica Patton Adamiak (Matt); grandsons, Mark Patton (Jennifer), Christopher Manning and Matthew Manning; and great-granddaughter, Olivia Adamiak.
