Marguerite B. Zgela

MANSFIELD -- Marguerite B. Zgela, 93, died Thursday, Sept. 6, 2007, at MedCentral/Mansfield Hospital.

Marguerite was born in Mount Carmel, Ill. on July 12, 1914, to Anthony & Blanche Metcalf Smith. She came to Mansfield as a child and was a 1932 graduate of Mansfield Senior High. Marguerite worked 27 years at Westinghouse and 10 years at Hartman Electric. In 1939, Marguerite worked the New York World's Fair for Westinghouse with Electro the Robot. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and AARP.

Marguerite is survived by her husband, Frank T. Zgela, of Mansfield; daughter and son-in-law, Candi and Lyle Zeger of Lucas; two grandsons, Scott (Suzanne) Boyer of Howard, Brian Boyer and fianc?, Michelle Schiefer of Cincinnati; great-granddaughter, Alexis Boyer; sister, Evelyn Linster of Mansfield.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters, Esther Speck, Mildred Lersch, Ellen Shaum and Betty Polkinghorn; and a brother, Robert Smith and two infant brothers.
Friends may call at Herlihy-Tinsman Funeral Home, 173 Park Avenue West, 10 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday where funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. with Fr. Keith McCormack officiating. Interment will be in Mansfield Catholic Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church.
