Mr. James Edward Bouey, 84, of 275 DePaul St., Emmitsburg, died Saturday, Sept. 6 at Springfield Hospital. Born in Adams County, Pa., he was a son of the late James A. and Laura Topper Bouey. He was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and was a retired painter at St. Joseph's.
Surviving besides his wife, Mrs. Blanche Hartdagen Bouey are five children, Allen Bouey, Mrs. Eunice Neighbors, both of Emmitsburg, Eugene Bouey, Olney, Mrs. Margaret Smith, Emmitsburg, Miss Isabel Bouey, at home, 10 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and one brother, Frank Bouey, Altoona, Pa.
Friends and family will meet at the Wilson Funeral Home Monday, Sept. 8 at 9:30 a.m. and then proceed to St. Joseph's Catholic Church where a Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 10 a.m. by the Rev. Father Harry T. Kuhn. Interment will be in the New St. Joseph's Cemetery.
