Cody K. Cook, age 20, of Paris passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, October 31, 2012
He was born November 5, 1991 in Big Rapids, the son of Skeeter "Keith" and Becky Cook.
Cody graduated from Big Rapids High School and Mecosta-Osceola Career Center with several honors and awards. He was a member of the Big Rapids Antique Farm and Power Club and the Buckley Old Engine Club, where he showed his love for tractors. He built a scale model Avery Steam Engine which was featured in a promotional brochure for the Buckley Old Engine Show. Cody loved everything outdoors to include snowmobiling, two-tracking and mud bogging.
He is survived by his parents, grandparents; Carolyn Cook, Ed and Lorna Retzloff, Shirley Fitzgerald, three brothers; Aaron (Tasha), Jason and Trevor (Sarah) Fitzgerald, three nephews; Tyler, Avery and Colin Fitzgerald plus many, many aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends, young and old.
Cody was preceded in death by his grandfathers, David Cook and Frank Fitzgerald.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, November 3, 2012 at the Mohnke Funeral Home in Big Rapids with Pastor Foster Brummel officiating. Interment will follow at Goodwell Township Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 – 8 p.m on Friday at the funeral home. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Buckley Old Engine Club.
