At Rocky Face Gap, Georgia, on February 25, 1864, the brigade had a desperate, but indecisive struggle with the Rebels. In the fight the 92nd Ohio lost very heavily again. Some of the wounded having been burned in the woods that caught fire. This was not an uncommon occurrence in many Civil War battles. Captain Edward Grosvenor, commanding Company A, was complimented in General Orders for gallantry in this action.
