Glenda was born to Ivy and Margaret Ellerbe on, Saturday, October 1, 1938 in Tampa, Florida.
Glenda is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Wayne Wilson Freeman, Sr.; sister, Annette Kelley and her husband Kenneth of Brandon, Florida; daughter, Shari Marie Karl and her husband Terry Glenn of Jones Creek, Texas; son, Wayne Wilson Freeman, Jr. and his wife Laura (Fazekas) of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Glenda was blessed with five grandchildren, Shana Marie Karl, Tyson Glenn Karl, Audrey Anna Freeman, David Wayne Freeman, Caroline Claire Freeman and many other relatives.
Glenda was preceded in death by her parents.
Glenda graduated from Hillsbourgh High School in Tampa, Florida in 1956. Glenda enjoyed life by helping family friends and her community. She was a past member of the CPA of Lake Jackson, Texas. She was involved with the choir and Sunday school at the First United Methodist Church of Lake Jackson.
The family of Glenda Freeman has requested that memorial contribution in her memory be made to the First United Methodist Church, 404 Azalea, Lake Jackson, Texas 77566.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, November 1, 2012, at the First United Methodist Church in Lake Jackson, Texas with the Reverend Charles Gellar officiating. Viewing will be from 9:00 a.m. until service time at the church. Burial will be in the Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida, following services in Tampa, Florida.
