MINER LOSES LIFE WHEN CRUSHED BY FALL OF ORE
JOSEPH ARONSON SUFFERS FATAL INJURIES IN ACCIDENT LAST NIGHT
Joseph Aronson, 36, was fatally injured when he was crushed against a heavy timber at the Chapin mine & died at the General Hospital 3 hours later. The accident occurred about 10:30 p.m. on the 16th level. Aronson had a farm near Twin Falls & had resided here for 17 years. He also worked at the Chapin & Pewabic iron ore mines. He came to Iron Mountain in 1907 & is survived by his widow & 4 children, 2 brothers, Gabriel Ohmen & Charles Aronson, also a sister Elisa in Finland.
