Staff Sergeant Donald Earl King, Alhambra,
California, was killed in an airplane crash on
February 12, 1944 at Greenville, South Car-
olina. He was a gunner on a B-25 Bomber

Donald E. King was the second son of Mr.
and Mrs. R.G. King, was born on September
9, 1920 on a farm near Frankfort, Kansas,
where he grew to manhood. He received his
education in the Frankfort schools.

In the spring of 1939, he went to Alhambra,
California and lived there until he entered
the Armed Forces on September 1, 1942.

On June 27, 1942, he married Olive Lucille
Foye, Frankfort, Kansas at Las Vegas,

Besides his wife he is survived by his parents
Mr. and Mrs. R.G.King,Cheyenne, Wyoming
three sisters, Mrs. Delia Worthington, Blue
Rapids, Kansas, Mrs. Helen Gerrard, of
Alhambra, California and Mrs. Vina Wells,
Alhambra, California; two brothers, Dudley
King, Alhambra, California and Robert King
H. A 2/c U.S. Navy, San Diego, California;
and five nieces.

Funeral services were held at Oelkers Funeral
Chapel in Frankfort, Kansas with Dr. Temple-
ton officiating.

Burial was in the Frankfort Cemetery,
Frankfort, Kansas.
