Frankfort Weekly Review
Friday, March 23, 1892

Henry Foye, an old resident of Frank-
fort, Kansas and vicinity, committed
suicide at his home four miles north
of Frankfort on Friday, March 16th.

Mr. Foye had been in bad health for
a number of years, at time becoming
very despondent, and had often
threatened to end his troubles by
taking his own life.

On Friday morning he went about his
work as usual, bu at 10:00 o'clock,
his son having occasion to go into
the granary four the door fastened
on the inside. Forcing the door
open he was horrified at seeing his
father in a sitting position with the
pallor of death upon his countenace,
and evidently in a dying condition.
He immediately gave the alarm and
when the neighbors came upon the
scene, they found a ghastly wound
in the dead man's head, using the
pistol lying at his feet. His remains
were buried at Frankfort Cemetery,
Frankfort, Kansas.
