Frances Melvia Foye was born in Ohio on
May 4, 1860 and passed away on July 1,
1937 at the home of her son, Loran Foye
in Whiting, Kansas at the age of 77 years,
1 month and 27 days.
Mrs. Foye was the eldest daughter of James
and Margaret Beard moving with her
Parents from Ohio to Kansas at the age of
9 years.
She was married to Henry Foye on April
27, 1877, and to this union was born four
children; Oliver H. Foye, Frankfort, Kansas
Loran B. Foye, Whiting, Kansas, Cora M.
Elliott, Pueblo, Colorado and Minnie C.
Ferris, Frankfort, Kansas.
Surviving are four children, ten grand-
children, two great-grandchildren, three
sisters and two brothers.
Funeral services were held at the Methodist
Church in Frankfort on Saturday, July 3 at
2:30 p.m.
Interment was in the Frankfort Cemetery,
Frankfort, Kansas.
