Charles E. Boehnke, 80, of North Tonawanda, Wednesday morning (Feb. 19, 1975) at DeGraff Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. A native of Tonawanda, he was the husband of Liesbeth (nee Riemer) Boehnke who died in 1965. An Army veteran of World War I, he was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, the Lutheran Layman's League and Tonawandas Post 264, American Legion.
He is survived by a son, Harold L. Boehnke of North Tonawanda, two granddaughters, Carole and Judith, two sisters, Mrs. Alba (Rosa) Gullick and Mrs. Lena Sparks; two brothers, Bernhardt and Walter Boehnke, all of Tonawanda.
Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday and 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at John O. Roth Funeral Home. Morgan and William Sts., Tonawanda where services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday, by the Rev. Paul W. Czamske. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery.
