FOUND DEAD

The Sudden Passing of a Well Known Citizen.

Ellsworth Martin was found lying dead on a lounge at his home on North Jefferson street at four o'clock this morning. He had been in poor health, but within the past few days had apparently improved, and intended to resume his work this morning as clerk at Dittgen's grocery. Mr. Martin was forty-four years of age, and had lived in Madison from his boyhood. Eleven years ago he was married to Miss Emma Seidel, daughter of Esq. Edward Seidel, who survives, with no children. He was a brother of George B. Martin, the steamboat engineer, and of Charles Martin, the liveryman. He was a member (remainder of article cut off).
