MUNCIE--Former Pendleton resident Michael J. Orewiler, 59, of Muncie, passed away October 30, 2012 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital.

He was born on March 14, 1953 in Anderson, IN. Mike was a 1971 graduate of Pendleton Heights High School and attended Anderson College. He loved nature, flowers, animals, and being outdoors.

Survivors include brother, Mark (wife-Linda) Orewiler of Yorktown; sister, Susan (husband-Ben) Benjamin of Greenwood; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel A. and Ruth (Gaddy) Orewiler.

Services are 1 p.m. Saturday at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory, Lahm Chapel, Pendleton, with Pastor Mike Osborne officiating. Burial will be in Grove Lawn Cemetery, Pendleton. Visitation is 11 a.m to 1 p.m. Saturday at Lahm Chapel.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the National Alliance for Mental Illness.
