Roy Jay (Tucker) Jackson, 89 years of age when he passed from this life in Grove, Oklahoma.

He was born on December 3, 1922 to Walter Lee Jackson and Montrilla Strate in Chewey, Oklahoma.

He is enrolled with Cherokee Tribe and very proud of his Native American heritage. Mr. Jackson was known to most people by his nick name "Tucker".

He lived in California, Idaho and Oklahoma throughout his life. He was self-employed, farming, raising hogs, grocery retail, car washing, laundry and service stations.

On Saturday nights you could see him doing one of his favorite hobbies, two-stepping country dancing. He also loved horseback riding, played guitar some, blue grass music, singings, the outdoors, fishing and fish frys on the creeks.

He is survived by his children: Raymond Dale Jackson and wife Dorinda of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Elenore Kaye Johnson of Visalia, California and Roy Gene Jackson of Grove, Oklahoma. One sister Juanita Lucille Kopp and husband Hoy of Tulsa, Oklahoma. He also has eight grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren. As well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Anna Mae Johnson, sister Ruth Marie Wilkerson, brother Houston Lee Jackson, brother Johnny Still Jackson and brother Doyle Howerton.

Visitation is Thursday, November 8 from 5-7 p.m. at Grand Lake Funeral Home in Grove, Oklahoma. Services will be Friday, November 9 at 1:00 p.m. at Grand Lake Funeral Home Chapel in Grove, Oklahoma. Interment will follow at Row Cemetery in Colcord, Oklahoma.

Services are under the direction of Grand Lake Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Grove, Oklahoma.
