Edgar Shipley Electrocuted in Milan, Tenn.

Edgar E Shipley, 34-year-old TVA employee, and husband of the former Miss Anna Elizabeth Spencer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W O Spencer of Pyland, was killed instantly last Thursday morning when he came in contact with a high voltage wire while working on a substation tower at Milan, Tenn.

Artificial respiration was applied for four hours, but to no avail.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday at Sale Creek, Tenn., near Chattanooga, with the Rev. Mr. Brannon, the Rev. Mr. Willkie, and the Rev. Mr. Ray officiating. He was a member of the Sale Creek Methodist Providence Church.

Interment was in the Providence Cemetery at Sale Creek.

Besides his wife, He leaves three children, Ronja Kay, Gayle Joy and Johnny; his mother, Mrs. Lula Mae Shipley; a brother, Glenn of Sale Creek and a sister, Mrs. Bill Iles of Sale Creek.

Mr. Shipley was in Houston a few years ago and was employed by the contractor who constructed a high power line to Bruce.
