Funeral services for Shirley Bryan Persinger, retired railroad agent and well known Rome citizen for the past thirty years, who died Saturday afternoon at his residence, 806 Maple Street, will be held this afternoon at 5 o'clock from the Daniel & Son Funeral Chapel with Dr. Bunyan Stephens and the Rev. H.F. Joyner officiating. Interment will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery.

Funeral Rites For S.B. Persinger
Dr. Bunyan Stephens, pastor of First Baptist Church and the Rev. H.F. Joyner officiated at funeral services in the Daniel Funeral Chapel and Myrtle Hill Cemetery yesterday afternoon for S.B. Persinger, who died Saturday afternoon at the residence on Maple Street. Mr. Persinger had been in failing health more than a year.
A quartet composed of Mrs. Frances Whatley, Miss Irene Atkinson, Tom E. Clemmons and Pierce McGhee sang two hymns, "Jesus Lover of My Soul," and "Abide With Me."
Beautiful floral emblems banked the casket and the front of the chapel.
Mr. Persinger is survived by his widow, a daughter, Mrs. J. Herbert Lam and two sisters, Mrs. Epperson, of Fort Worth, Mrs. Miller Pendleton, of San Antonio, and an aunt, Miss Virginia Myers of Gallipoli, Ohio.
Serving as pallbearers were: H. S. Love, H.P. O'Rear, H.G. Gay, W.R. Montague, R.E. Ward and L.O. Perkins.
