James "Randy" Mattingly, 36, of Knottsville died Monday, Sept. 6, 2004, at his home. He was born in Daviess County and was a member of St. William Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Erica Lynn, in September 1986. He is survived by a son, Tyler Randall; a daughter, Mackenzie Ray; parents, James A. "Jim" and Lorene (Payne) Mattingly of Knottsville; two sisters, Gail Niehous of Owensboro and Connie Lemmons of Knottsville; two brothers, Mike Mattingly of Pleasant Ridge and Timmy Mattingly of Philpot; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services are at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. William Catholic Church. Private burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will begin after 1 p.m. today and after 8 a.m. Wednesday at Cecil Funeral Home in Whitesville. Prayers will be said at 7 p.m. today at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to St. William Cemetery.
