Lois graduated from Bethany High School in 1939 then attended Bethany Penile College, now Southern Nazarene University, where she earned a degree in English. It was here that she met Milton, her husband of 50 years. She was very active in her children's lives acting as PTA President, Brownie Leader and children's camp counselor. She was a visible presence in her grandchildren's lives attending all concerts, recitals, award presentations or performances. Lois worked at the Federal Aviation Administration for 20 years as a secretarial supervisor receiving numerous honors and awards.
