He was the son of Zotique Ritchot and Albina Gosselin.
He married Marie Anne Pauze in L'Epiphanie (Quebec), January 11, 1910.

He married 2nd to Alice Baillargeon, December 4, 1937 in St-Boniface, MB.

ELIE RITCHOT
On July 7, 1968, at the St. Vital Hospital, Mr. Elie Ritchot, dearly beloved husband of Mrs. Alice [Baillargeon] Ritchot of 565, Plinguet St., St. Boniface. Mr. Ritchot was born in the province of Quebec and came to Manitoba in 1918. He was a painter by trade, retiring in 1958. He was a member of the St. Boniface Basilica choir for thirty years. Besides his wife, he is survived by eight sons, Paul, Roger, Pierre of St. Boniface, Ernest, Roland, Theophile of Winnipeg, Lucien of Harrowhead, British Columbia, and Marcel of Vancouver, three daughters, Mrs. (Annette) B. Currie and Mrs. (Jacqueline) D. Lebleu of St. Boniface; Mrs. (Monique) J. Simming, of Vancouver, one sister, Mrs. [Therese] A. Lamarre, of Montreal, 28 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren. Prayers Monday (tonight) in the Desjardins Funeral Chapel. Requiem Mass at the St. Boniface Basilica on Tuesday followed by interment in the family plot in the St. Boniface Cemetery.
