Mrs. Bessy May French, 709 Walnut, died at 6 o'clock Monday morning in New York City, where she was visiting some of her children.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the McVey Chapel. The Rev. Robert Mooreland, pastor of the First Presbyterian church, will conduct the services, and burial will be in Memorial Lawn cemetery.

Mrs. French was born October 2, 1883, in Richland, Kas., and she married Walter E. French in Richland February 5, 1902. She is survived by her husband of the home, and seven children. They are Miss Eva French, Mrs. Marjorie Zarb-Mizzi, David French, all of New York City; Seth French, Tulsa, Okla.; Robert French, Caldwell, Tex.; Mrs. Elizabeth Lauer, Leavenworth; Mrs. Julia Ann Peel, Fort Worth, Tex. Two sons, Donald and Philip French, preceded her in death. Also surviving are five brothers and sisters, Miss Rosa Souders, Topeka; Mrs. Laura Laper, Richland; Harry Souders, Colorado Springs, Colo.; Byron Souders, Oklahoma City, Okla. and Harvey Souders, Portland, Ore.

Mrs. French was a member of the Eastern Star, the O.I.A. and the First Presbyterian church.
