Funeral services for James M. Lee, 83, resident of Harris Community, were held Wednesday afternoon, the Rev. Johnson, Vivian, officiating. Mr. Lee, who had been a resident of that community all his life, died of a heart attack around 11 o'clock Monday evening, after an illness of a week.
The deceased, who was born in Claiborne parish, March 13, 1855, is survived by three daughters, Miss Ella Lee, Mrs. Gonia Avery, and Mrs. Thomas Harville, all of Vivian; one son, Turner Lee, Oklahoma; one sister, Mrs. Lucus White, Shreveport, and two brothers.
