Daughter of Jacob Baugher Hamm & Margaret Rebecca (Hildebrand) Hamm.
Married Edward Myer Roser, 10 May 1899, Glen Rock, York Co., PA
Parents of two daughters, neither of whom married.
Maggie, born in 1872, in Springfield, was the youngest of the seven daughters of Jacob & Margaret. Her parents were engaged in farming their entire lives. She recalled the family would drive to church in a horse-drawn Germantown buggy with fringes or in a surrey. Since the family was large, she noted, sometimes four would ride in the buggy, and the others in the surrey. She stated she always rode in the buggy with her father because she was 'Dad's Girl'. The family attended services at St. Peters (Yellow) United Church of Christ, near Seven Valleys, where she was a life-long member. Maggie and her two daughters, Margaret & Valeria, moved to 218 Hanover St. in Glen Rock, where they remained the rest of their lives. Maggie resumed use of her maiden name, while the daughters went by the surname 'Roser'.
Maggie retired in 1941 after being emmployed as a seamstress for many years. She remained remarkably alert, untl he death in March of 1976, at age 102.
